To help create new and better homes, jobs and infrastructure for Bedford and North Central Bedfordshire in a sustainable way.
Our targets
The targets of the partnership are to ensure:
• the delivery of the key housing commitments, totalling 19,500 dwellings by 2021;
• the delivery of employment growth of up to 19,800 additional jobs in the same period;
• that the essential infrastructure to support and create more sustainable communities in the future is costed, funded and put in place at the right time.
It is anticipated that from mid February 2010 the area served by the partnership will expand further into North Central Bedfordshire. One important consequence of this expansion is that the homes, jobs and infrastructure targets will increase.
The partnership is an integral part of the area's Single Conversation and as this process evolves targets and priorities may change.
